Do you wonder what your color is?

This is my last weekend of Fright Fest. :(

It has been the most amazing experience and I will treasure the memories for a long time. Everyone I have met so far is a sweetheart and you wouldn't even ever think of them as monsters!

One of the fun things is that we get our makeup airbrushed each night! We've gone through tons of looks, and I regret not photographing them all. However, here is the look from last night:

 

I feel like I look a bit like Harley Quinn!  Also I tihnk my lips look like a cute little cat face. :)

Yup! I'm wearing the exact outfit Bryce Dallas Howard wore for the movie The Village. All of our costumes for the people in my haunted house came from that movie. Cool huh? Plus my wig kind of matches Ivy Walker's hair color... spooky! Well I have to go get ready for tonight. ;)

I bought this lip stain by Revlon called Just Bitten in Passion. I feel like it is a bit too pink/bright so I'll go exchange it for a deeper red. It feels really light on my lips and it comes with a balm. I don't feel like there's anything on my lips at all, and they aren't dry either.  I highly recommend this product.

This has been one of my favorite outfits for a long time. I got the top at a goodwill a while ago and I have yet to find a way to style it otherwise.

There's the ring I got off of ebay. It's an owl! I ended up buying a few more to accompany him. One I'm looking forward to is a bee ring. I bought it after finishing Generation A by Douglas Coupland. It follows five individuals who are stung by bees in a world that thought them to be extinct, and what happens to them following their stings. It was weird, crazy, and thought provoking, and the end was a sick twist! I highly recommend it.

time is on my mind

One trend I really like this fall is the clock necklace. They're basically like a pocket watch, but the clock is attached to a long necklace chain. I found a bunch I like on etsy:

I love constellations and zodiac fortune telling. Plus the character I mentioned above summons anthropomorphized astrological signs with keys. How perfect is this pendant for that??

I like this one because it has that antique tint on the outside glass giving it a pale orange hue, which would help me with my wish to incorporate more orange colors into my wardrobe.

 Today while taking pictures I found a lizard friend. He didn't want to hang out though.

 My dad grows tomatoes in our backyard. This one had fell off the vine. It was so pretty, I wanted to take pictures with it. I don't really care for this outfit, but an outfit is an outfit.

I found out I can do a pretty good turkey impression while working in my haunted house. If you live in the SF Bay Area (and have the money; I understand that tickets are quite expensive to the park already not including the 15-20 dollars just to get into the haunted houses.) I would love for you to come and be scared by me. I'm trying to figure out how I should take pictures when it's rainy. I don't want my dad's camera to get wet. Soon though, a new outfit post. I have some more glasses coming from proopticals.com soon and I'm REALLY looking forward to those since they will be prescription.


Now back to sleeping/cleaning/etc before my dad sees me online.

So that peach dress from Forever21 I wore my last outfit? I returned it today and got some new boots and socks instead. Cold weather here I come!

All The Small Things

I don't know if it was anticipation or some weird cosmic occurrence but yesterday I thought absolutely everything was beautiful. From the sky to the bay water to my lit cigarette. I realize that this sounds like such a weird hippie thing to say, but I think the world is gorgeous and it saddens me that we do not fight to preserve such a beautiful thing. I think my favorite thing about being alive is seeing all the colors that life presents us with. I dunno. When I see a weird color I like to break it down into all the separate colors that mix to compose it. I'm kind of a weird person.

Yesterday I saw Blink 182. It was an awesome concert, and I had good company with me. The funnies tthing was that the band I was least interested in seeing turned out to be the best performance of the night and thus stole my heart. Matt and Kim stole the show. They were energetic, feisty, and charming. They also sounded a million times better than MCR and Blink-182. I was disappointed with both acts. I mean they were good, but not as good as I hoped they'd be.

Oh Punz how I love thee so.

I bought this dress last night for my acting class. I performed a scene  from the comedy revue Serious Bizness, and the character says 'Peach makes you look like a slut. It's a slut color.' LMAO

It has started to rain here. Not going to be fun for my hair, but I am very excited to wear my tights again! Forever21 just got some maroon and mustard tights and I saw some orange sweaters I'd love to have why am I so poor ;-;

I've always loved the bralettes and corsets as shirts styles, so here is my try at it! I don't think I should ever do this again though.
Today I had my acting class, and my teacher had us do YOGA poses. This shirt saved me much grief/embarrassment. Also yes this is the same shirt as my last set of pictures. It is sheer, but not too revealing, and airy but not too delicate. Perfection~

Also i cut my hair the day before yesterday in my bathroom. God was that a mistake on so many different levels. Apparently there's a tiny bald patch near my hairline, whoopsss. Oh well lesson learned!

I am a free woman

I finally just paid off my traffic ticket. I got it for speeding a few months back, and looking back at my actions back then, I was so dumb. Honestly, sometimes I feel like I should get my license taken from me because I am not a good enough driver yet. I don't even know how I passed my driving test the first time with like, 2 hours of driving practice? It was so stupid. I hated driving with my parents though. When I get older and have kids I'm going to propose that I teach my friends kid to drive and they take mine. I realize how awful it is learning with a parent, they are way too overbearing. My dad was overprotective and made me drive about 20 under the speed limit every day. My mom took me out one day and made me pull over in the middle of the road and was screaming at me because I was too close to the outside white line.  When I grow up, I'm never going to yell at me children. I have never been conditioned to be more terrified of anything more than yelling because of my family. I've told them how much it affects me too, but they continue to do it. I guess I deserve it though.

But so about a month ago I was going to see a guy I was dating. I was picking up my friend in a town a bit farther north because her boyfriend lived in the same town. I missed the exit to get to her, and I was already late. So I was speeding around trying to get to the exits and like, 100 feet from the exit, I got pulled over by a cop for speeding. I was actually very lucky, I was going around 82 and since I was honest and polite with him he dropped the charge to 75 in a 65 zone.

Speeding is so dumb honestly. I hardly go over 65 anymore (I got to 70 the other day passing some big rigs). Not only has my gas mileage increased about 4 gallons since staying under the speed limit, but I'm just not afraid of cops anymore because I'm not doing anything wrong. B) Fun fact: If you're bitching about cops giving you tickets to fill their 'quota', it's not true. Cops can give tickets or arrest as many or as little people as they want.


So yeah, 358 dollars later I am a free woman. I'm going to have to take driving school too. It's just not worth it, especially since I get to where I'm going at around the same time as I would going 75 or 80.  All right, gonna get ready for class now. have a good day everyone!

 I am trying to figure out how to use this stupid camera. I can't get any settings right, and when someone told me to mess with the iso, the pics turned out worse. I'm so sorry, I'm trying to work on it. These pictures I stupidly turned off vivid color and the pictures came out awful.

 I'm wearing an awesome pair of glasses from proopticals.com. I will wear them again in the next outfit and try and get better pictures of them. I was nervous when I got them because I was always told that larger frames looked bad on me but I think they look perfect! They also fit really snug on my head, as opposed to the glasses I get at my local optometrist. I can't even wear my glasses at work because they always slip down! Unfortunately this pair is not prescription but I am excited for the next ones I get that will be!

Oh, Mickey! When I hear you play that harmonica, my heart sings!

 One of my new friends in my acting class said I looked like Minnie Mouse today. This bow is actually for my Sawako cosplay, but I pinned it to my H&M blouse to give my outfit some color. The lipstick I'm wearing is MAC Satin Red A21. I felt very cute. :)

 

I'm in love with this song right now. Bon Iver has a very... real voice. It's hard to explain.
