If I touch anything, it freezes so I’m afraid to hold your hand

Because if you come close to me, your heart might catch a cold too

More pictures taken by Priscilla! I have worn this outfit many times but never gotten it pictured yet! I had a friend tell me that with my blonde hair she thought I resembled Marilyn Monroe! I think it's just cause I have short curly hair... but I appreciate the compliment (It's a compliment, right?)! You also can see my baby hands! I had the smallest hands in my grade. I'm sorry they are ugly form nail biting and aggressive over washing for work. Sanitizer is so harsh. :'(

sweater and heels from Goodwill/skirt from H&M/rings, tights, and socks from eBay
I really like layering my tights like this, I love the look of sheer stockings but hate their fragility. Take a look at some lovely pictures for inspiration. All pictures are taken from tumblr unless otherwise sourced.

Sidenote: Son Ga In (first picture) is my kpop 'bias'. Biases are basically the artist you will love no mater what, as in die hard Bruce Springsteen fans or 'Beliebers'. So as a treat you get more of her:

Autumn 2012

With each coming day my knee is getting better and better. I should be able to go back into work soon.
I've been having a lot more Starbucks lately. I love the chai tea latte that have so much. It's great hot or iced. I have never had the pumpkin spiced latte before though, I can't wait to try it!

Fall 2012

This autumn should be all about browns, whites, leather, warm tones, and jewel tones. Knits are great ways to be stylishly warm, and you can layer them over a cute dress or just with some skinny jeans and boots. A crisp collared shirt looks great under one as well.

What do you want to see this fall season?

Everyone knows mint is going to be big this spring/summer. My favorite combinations for the color are gold, cream, pink, and brown. These combinations are pretty feminine and girly and I'm not sure if they would look good on me, but at least I can put together sets and drool over what could be~

I've been seeing lebunnybleu on Flattery and I find their designs adorable! Lots of cutesy mint and pink flats. I can't wear flats though, they always end up scraping the back of my Achille's heel and after watching Haute Tension I am fiercely protective of it. Plus rabbits are my spirit animal so I am going to just pine after those shoes forever.

What color(s) would you pair with mint?

Mirror, Mirror

For my humanities class, we had to make a visual project based off a word we chose from a list of words we associate or that others have used to describe you. I chose this prompt, based off of James Luna's Half Indian/Half Mexican:

"Create a face-off between two sets of opposite images – ones that reflect your chosen word, and ones that reflect its common opposite.  Inject a compromise image in the middle."

James' piece

My chosen word was scared. Here is my piece (click the picture to see it larger):

scared>neutral>unafraid

What would you have chosen for your word?

Spring Style

Sorry for being so out of touch lately! I've been doing a lot of school and work stuff. :(
I should do an outfit later today though so be on the lookout for that!

Spring Inspirations

H M long top, £15
AX Paris batwing top, £20
H M lace short sleeve shirt, £13
Denim top, $32
Wallis short sleeve top, £18
Neon Hart denim short shorts, $40
H&M denim jean shorts, £15

eos Strawberry Sorbet Organic Lip Balm Sphere : Target, $50

As the weather heats up (or in our case, stays the same -__- ) I am itching to buy some more high waisted shorts. I love denim so much but I only have one pair of high waisted denim shorts! Must be fixing this pronto.

I have always wanted a long white cardigan as well. I think they look cozy yet somewhat elegant. It would be a nice coverup for being at the beach as well.

I love my brown boots from Forever 21 and I want to expand my collection! I have so many shoes (which I shall be posting in a shop my closet section soon! ) I never wear so it's time to clean out and make way for new stuff. I have never had any sandals that weren't flip flops so I would really like a pair of gladiator ones! I'm usually not a big fan of tassels but I think this isn't too overbearing.

I like this new trend of bottom tied tops. I think it looks cute and gives a plain shirt just a bit more style. I have also been DYING for a bralet but have never had the chance to get one/try one on.

I don't really care much for accessories but I do love my set of gold rings I bought at H&M a bit back. They're nice to just pop on and I like wearing them with my cat ring I bought off ebay. I ended up losing my owl ring and the other rings I bought broke. :( I'll be stoking up soon on cheapo ebay rings. They may turn my fingers a bit green but I don't mind so long as my wallet stays green too.

I used to have a cheapo ( 50 cent or something. They came in a friends birthday goodie bag) pair of wayfarers that were EXCELLENT and I wore them everywhere. Unfortunately they fell off over a bridge last summer so I need to replace them! I love the wayfarer style. Classic but not to campy.

I got this strawberry EOS lip sphere for christmas and I love it! Strawberry is one of my favorite flavors, plus it leaves my lips very moist for a long time. Plus it's such a cute design! I use this and my Jamba Juice lip balms exclusively.

I have a friend who used to drink an Arizona tea every day in high school. While I was shopping a few months ago I decided to try one and now I am hooked as well! I'm not a big fan of cold tea so I mostly stick to the fruity flavors, but I do like the mango and tea one. Cheap and delicious~

What do you want to incorporate into your wardrobe this spring?

Spring/Summer 2012

Spring is coming soon enough and with it returns the appropriateness of my favorite clothing item ever, shorts.
I was inspired to put this together when I saw Serpentine Streets S/S2012 wish list she made. She features lots of neon and bright colors so be sure to check it out if that's your thing!

Spring 2012

Oversized shirt, £32
H M lace shirt, £13
Rare short shorts, £10
Short skirt, $5
High waisted shorts, £30
Short shorts, £22
Giuseppe Zanotti platform wedge heels, $795
Wet Seal platform wedge heels, $30
Jil Sander suede boots, $875
Dorothy Perkins high heels, $69
Blue backpack, $64
Blu Bijoux gold necklace, $19
Laura Mercier Lip Stain, $20

I'm not a big fan of bright color. My normal wardrobe is black on black or denim with darker tones or neutrals. I really would like to add some pastels to my collection though to brighten and soften things up a bit. Some colors I really like are peach and mint. I really like the way peach looks with my skin tone. It's bright and warming without being too overpowering. And mint is one of my favorite colors! I don't really have any white shirts or light colored shirts either so that would be nice to have. I tend to steer from light shirts because I cannot control how much I sweat and that a) is gross, and b) ruins light colored clothing. However a nice dolman sleeve top can remedy this. :)

High waisted high waisted high waisted. My favorite trend ever. I have a very defined hourglass figure (37-26-40) so I love showing off my tiny waist. I hated the low rise trend with a passion and it was awful trying to find anything but when I was in middle/high school. I'm glad this trend is back to stay. I also am a big fan of 90's fashion. I love denim and have been dying for a denim jacket or collared shirt for a long while. It was grungy and I love the crop top trend paired with high waisted bottoms.

I first saw the Laura Mercier lip stain while reading a blog post from Keiko Lynn and I fell in love with the rosy, pink color. I have been lusting for it for a while but just never got around to buying it/asking for it. Same with the watch necklace. I think it's a cute, whimsical little accessory that is also very practical! I don't like wearing accessories much since I feel like they just get in the way so something like this would be a good thing to own! I always use this one green purse my parents bought for a me a few years back, and it's nice to have but it sometimes gets in the way when I'm walking around with my boyfriend. I think this denim backpack has a nice grungy feel to it and can hold a lot. Plus it would be easy to sling around my back and have it out of the way.

I love wedges so much (so much so I got some shipped straight from Canada lol) and I want to expand my collection. I have mostly black heels I never wear so I want to add some color to my shoe collection. I also would like another pair of nice brown boots. I really like the Forever 21 pair I own. Flat boots are so comfy but stylish!

I hope you like my picks! Tell me what trends you are looking forward to trying this coming season.

Do you wonder what your color is?

This is my last weekend of Fright Fest. :(

It has been the most amazing experience and I will treasure the memories for a long time. Everyone I have met so far is a sweetheart and you wouldn't even ever think of them as monsters!

One of the fun things is that we get our makeup airbrushed each night! We've gone through tons of looks, and I regret not photographing them all. However, here is the look from last night:

I feel like I look a bit like Harley Quinn!  Also I tihnk my lips look like a cute little cat face. :)

Does anyone recognize this outfit?

Yup! I'm wearing the exact outfit Bryce Dallas Howard wore for the movie The Village. All of our costumes for the people in my haunted house came from that movie. Cool huh? Plus my wig kind of matches Ivy Walker's hair color... spooky! Well I have to go get ready for tonight. ;)

But every time I reach for you, you slip through my fingers

First off, who wants to see my bruises??

 Awesome.

I bought this lip stain by Revlon called Just Bitten in Passion. I feel like it is a bit too pink/bright so I'll go exchange it for a deeper red. It feels really light on my lips and it comes with a balm. I don't feel like there's anything on my lips at all, and they aren't dry either.  I highly recommend this product.

This has been one of my favorite outfits for a long time. I got the top at a goodwill a while ago and I have yet to find a way to style it otherwise.

Awesome shadow swirl.

Do I look like Stellapnp??

There's the ring I got off of ebay. It's an owl! I ended up buying a few more to accompany him. One I'm looking forward to is a bee ring. I bought it after finishing Generation A by Douglas Coupland. It follows five individuals who are stung by bees in a world that thought them to be extinct, and what happens to them following their stings. It was weird, crazy, and thought provoking, and the end was a sick twist! I highly recommend it.

All The Small Things

I don't know if it was anticipation or some weird cosmic occurrence but yesterday I thought absolutely everything was beautiful. From the sky to the bay water to my lit cigarette. I realize that this sounds like such a weird hippie thing to say, but I think the world is gorgeous and it saddens me that we do not fight to preserve such a beautiful thing. I think my favorite thing about being alive is seeing all the colors that life presents us with. I dunno. When I see a weird color I like to break it down into all the separate colors that mix to compose it. I'm kind of a weird person.

White, cream, lilac, silver, gray, black, blue, pink, carmine, peach, orange, gold, yellow, all in the burning end.
Isn't that amazing?

Yesterday I saw Blink 182. It was an awesome concert, and I had good company with me. The funnies tthing was that the band I was least interested in seeing turned out to be the best performance of the night and thus stole my heart. Matt and Kim stole the show. They were energetic, feisty, and charming. They also sounded a million times better than MCR and Blink-182. I was disappointed with both acts. I mean they were good, but not as good as I hoped they'd be.

Here are some photos from the night:

Pury sky. When we were sitting in my car eating lunch we saw a cloud that looked like an arm throwing up the 'devil horns'.
 Such a handsome fellow.
I guess I look pretty cute too.
We met these people when they randomly came to sit near us after M&K. They were awesome. Please excuse my rude gesture.
