Lancôme Review Part One

Hello! I come today with a review of some products Lancôme Paris sent me for filling out a survey.

I was given four different products. I have yet to try the lipstick or eyeshadow palette but I have used the mascara and gloss! I will review those and save the others for another time.

The gloss I was given the Color Fever Gloss in Blushing Pink. The color is very light, it's almost a clear gloss on my lips. I have never really been a fan of glosses because of the stickiness factor, but this one doesn't bother me at all. It's very light weight as well. I have been using it ever since I got it. Its unique wand really does apply the gloss perfectly to my lips.

The mascara is called Hypnôse Drama. I love that this mascara does not clump my lashes, but it does not volumize them as much as I would like. It is easily fixed by using an eyelash curler though, which I normally do not use. This mascara is very easy to remove as well, so I don't wake up with my eyelashes still clumpy with stuff I couldn't get off the other night. I like this a lot more than my normal mascara, Maybelline Colossal. The wand on this one also has a curved shaped, making it easier to apply.

I will probably try the other products tomorrow (depending on if I go out tonight with my beau) so expect part two soon!

I haven't taken outfit pictures in a while.... my schedule is so cramped with school and work that it is hard to find the time. I am trying to actually teach my boyfriend photography, so he can take pictures for me when we move in together in a few months.

A lot of people have been telling me I shouldn't move in with him, but this has been an issue since we've been together and we've both gone over all the pros and cons very thoughtfully. I have told him no about 20 times before now telling him yes. It seems like no one believes in me and it's painful to realize. No one has really believed in me my whole life.

Anyways, I will be posting more often! Please stay tuned!

Happy Humpday

Woohoo Wednesday! I have a Stats test today that I am terrified of taking. My teacher just... doesn't teach the way I can understand, so it is a big struggle seeing as math is the hardest subject for me. I have not been taking photos recently because my main photographer was in Costa Rica on vacation, and I used the time to focus on school as well. lots of things have happened to me though in the meantime!

I have recently got a package from Giant Vintage containing four pairs of sunglasses for me to style! It was supposed to be three, but one of the pairs (unfortunately my favorite!) was running out of stock so they sent me that style in two different colors. I am very impressed with their customer service. Here is a picture from my instagram of the pairs:

The packaging was my favorite part! How sweet of them to add some candy~ I have been using these pairs for the past week now and they are all excellent! The tortoise shell ones are actually my favorite, the lenses are tinted so when you put them on, everything looks sepia toned. The purple framed glasses are similar, but everything is tinted purple instead.

Another thing that happened was that I won a giveaway! My friend Zoe from GrandTheftThrift hosted a giveaway with FlyingTomato for this dress and I won it!:

I will take pictures in it soon! The dress is great quality and very cute. I am looking forward to styling it with my Giant Vintage shades and a white blazer. B)

As for new purchases, I am going to buy these lovely tights from tobi.com:

I love the garter legging look. Layering another pair of tights under these would be very cute in fall and winter, or in summer with a cute tank top and sneakers.

If you sign up with tobi, you can get 50% off! They update their inventory every day and discount new arrivals for a few days so you can always get a great deal. Check them out!

I must go study now, but I hope yo all have a good day! Look forward to me next post!

Versace Yellow Diamond Review

Hey guys! I actually did a review soon after it was promised oh man what a feat.

I don't remember requesting this sample so when I saw the package in the mail yesterday I was quite surprised and pleased! It came with a tiny ad card and then the product and it's casing. Yellow is one of my favorite colors so I love the packaging. Plus it's shiny and the paisley is elegant and detailed and fun to look at! I had to edit these a lot to get the yellow to stand out, but the color is most like that of the inside of a lemon creme pie.

Here is what the website says about the fragrance:

"The fragrance unveils like a burst of light, gleaming and glistening. The crystalline luminosity of citron from Diamante the generous freshness of a pear sorbet fused amongst sparkling notes of bergamot and dynamic accents of neroli. The rare elegance of orange blossom shines through the light of freesia and mimosa and the natural transparency of nymphea. The sensuality of ambery woods, the sunny and vibrant character of palo santo wood, the refined presence of musk."

To me, it smells a bit musky and watery. Not watered down, but more juicy/watery. There is a hint of pear like mentioned in their description. It reminds me of a sunny day at the beach or camping.
It's not over powering at all.

The thing I like best about the perfume (or at least from this tube) is that the spray is very concentrated. I think for body mists, it should be sprayed all over the body, but for perfume, it should only be on your veins (wrists, throat, back of knees) since it's a bit stronger.

I like the perfume a lot! I normally would go for a more citrusy or sweet smell, but I feel like this is light enough for me while still holding a sophisticated smell. I have too many perfumes now though so I probably won't buy this. (However for a present.... ;) )

Here's their video advertisement, just for fun. I like the kaleidoscope effect. My mom used to collect kaleidoscopes so I used to play with them a lot when I was younger.

Thanks for reading my review!

thebeautboutique

I'm part of a blogging community on facebook and I'd like to feature one of my girls today. :)

TheBeautBoutique is run by Ruthy hailing from Scotland. She specializes in romantic, vintage looking jewelry. Here are some of her handmade items!

I love the intricate detailing in the metal! The rose gives it that tiny detail to really make it a perfect piece.

I love this piece because it is wooden! I think wooden accessories/shoes/anything are so cool and the detailing of this piece is amazing!

This is my favorite piece from her store. I love how real the flower looks! Plus the daisy reminds me of my favorite book heroine, Alaska Young from the book Looking for Alaska by John Green.

The coolest products in her store are these miniature book rings! Any Disney/Harry Potter fan would love one of these.
She only has a few books in stock so if you like them, snatch them up!

You can also find Ruthy's blog right here. Stop by and check it out or leave her a comment!

Which product do you like best?

idk gravity

These pictures were fun to take.  I wore this at my dance class and I thought how appropriate it was for jumping picture.

The knee high socks are from rinkacollections on ebay! It's one of my favorite ebay stores. I own another pair of hounds-tooth socks like these in a pink color, and then lots of thigh highs too. They're really nice items for such low prices. I'm hoping to get some patterned tights from them soon.

Review: Clinique Chubby Stick Moisturizing Lip Colour Balm

Damn that's a mouthful.

So I saw this ad in Seventeen magazine for for their new moisturizing lip color, and I wanted to try it out. I originally wanted to get the Woppin' Watermelon cause I wanted all the boys to have crushes but it was already out of stock. :{
I ordered the Chunky Cherry instead from their website, along with a few other things I won't review.

Here are some pictures:

My lips before, sorry for the herp derp faces, but it wouldn't pick up the actual color of my lips when I smiled.

This is the package it came in:
Here's the actual stick:

Looks just like the ad!

In action!:

It feels very nice going on, just like a balm should. I put it on this morning for work, and it was gone after 8.5 hours, but I tried to lick it all off and the color dulled a bit but stayed still pretty well. However when I wiped it off with toilet paper, it came off pretty easy. But it doesn't leave any weird coloring around the lips, or on the lips.

It is very lightweight, and soft. It took about, 3 coats on the bottom lip, and detailing it in on the top lip to make it that color above. It really depends on how you like it, as it looks good as a sheer one coat as well.

However, the first time I tried it on, my lips were really dry, and it showed the cracking a bit, so I suggest not trying to use it as a fix for cracked lips.

So far I'm really satisfied with it. :)
Let me know if you decide to get one!
